Donnie is...

Often mistaken as a native Hongkonger for his fluency in Cantonese performance. Raised in a Singapore Cantonese speaking family, with musical influences of English oldies, Donnie gradually turned to music of Jacky Cheung, in his teenage years. The next stage of musical influences are of Jazz, Evergreens and Rock.

Since 2000, Donnie started off singing in events, then in Chinese Folk Cafes, to pubs and weddings. Donnie's debut record was the movie theme song of the local movie I Not Stupid from 2002. Donnie was also the first local singer to acheuve a full-Cantonese concert at The Esplanade. The showcases include Leslie Cheung Tribute in 2009 & Danny Chan in 2010. His first overseas showcase was a solo unplugged concert at Backstage Live Cafe, Hong Kong, in Nov 2013.
